MEANING: Toi-Gye is the pen name of the scholar Yi Hwang, an authority on non-confucianism.
Toi-Gye position at 12:00 (right hand covering left at belt level)
- Fold for a scoop block to the left. “kia”
- Scoop block to the left in a fighting stance.
- Grab the groin with the right hand.
- Slide your left foot to the right as you bring back the groin grab.
- Fold for a scoop block to the right.
- Scoop block to the right in a fighting stance.
- Grab the groin with the left hand.
- Slide your right foot to the left as you bring back the groin grab.
- Cross punch with the right hand high to 12:00 in a left leg forebalance.
- Fold and double punch to the head.
- Leaving your left hand out, front kick with your right leg and land in a right leg forebalance.
- Punch with your right hand and then left.
- Fold for a raised double fist strike (knuckles out) facing 9:00 with fists resting on hips and elbows out.
- Step with right leg to face 6:00 in a horsestance with raised double fist strike (fists in).
- Fold (fists out) and step with left leg to face 12:00 in a horsestance with raised double fist strike (fists in).
- Fold (fists out) and step with left leg to face 6:00 in a horsestance with raised double fist strike (fists in).
- Fold (fists out) and step with right leg to face 12:00 in a horsestance with raised double fist strike (fists in).

- While setting front kick down in a left forebalance, spear thrust with right hand and then left hand.
- Sudo block in a right side fighting stance.
- Right leg front kick.
- While setting front kick down in a right forebalance, spear thrust with left hand and then right hand.
- Grab the groin with the right hand and step back with the right leg.
- Jump to 6:00 and crossblock low.
- Song-sue block in a right forebalance to 7:30.
- Left hand sudo block at 7:30.
- Shift to a left leg forebalance and scoop block with the right hand.
- Fold and strike with a right hand sudo block at 3:00 (low).
- Shift to a right leg forebalance and scoop block with the left hand.
- Shift to a left leg forebalance and scoop block with the right hand.
