KIA’S : on 1st, 12th and 28th movements
MEANING: Won Hyo was the noted monk on the Silla Dynasty in the year 688 A.D.

Ready Position 12:00

  1. Step with left foot to 9:00 and box block in left fighting stance. “kia”
  2. Underhand chop with right hand while folding left hand to your center line.
  3. Chamber left hand on left hip then punch with left hand to 9:00.
  4. Slide left foot to right and step right foot to 3:00 in fighting stance and box block.
  5. Underhand chop with left hand and fold right hand to your centerline.
  6. Chamber right hand on right hip and punch to 3:00.
  7. Move right foot to 6:00 (fighting stance at 12:00).
  8. Side kick to 12:00 with left foot.
  9. Set left foot down in left fighting stance and sudo block.
  10. Walk forward in right fighting stance and sudo block.
  11. Walk forward in left fighting stance and sudo block.
  12. Walk forward in right forebalance and spear thrust to the midsection. “kia”
  13. Fold for box block on right hip and move left leg counter clockwise to 3:00 in left fighting stance.
  14. Box block.
  15. Under hand chop with right hand and fold left hand on your centerline.
  16. Chamber left hand on left hip and punch to 3:00.
  17. Fold on left hip for box block and slide left foot to right and step with right foot to 9:00 in right fighting stance.
  18. Box block.
  19. Under hand chop with right hand and fold right hand on centerline.
  20. Chamber right hand on right hip and punch to 9:00.
  21. Leave right hand out and slide right foot to left and step to 6:00 in left forebalance.
  22. Scoop block with right hand.
  23. Front kick with right foot and set right foot down in right forebalance.
  24. Punch with left hand.
  25. Scoop block with left hand and front kick with left foot and set foot down in left forebalance and punch with right hand.
  26. Come around sidekick with right foot to 6:00 and set foot down beside left foot.
  27. Turn counter clockwise to 9:00 in left fighting stance with closed hand sudo block.
  28. Move left foot to right and step right foot to 3:00 in right fighting stance and closed hand sudo block.
  29. Slide right foot to left at 12:00 in “Won-Hyo position.”
